Jacob Thundil (born 20th April 1974) is a London based entrepreneur born in Kerala "The land of coconuts".
After his dads passing at the age of 17 he took over and ran the family business while pursuing a mechanical engineering degree.
In 1997 he left the family business to enrol on a Masters in Business Administration course specialising in international finance.
Upon graduating he was offered a graduate placement with British Telecom and subsequently worked with Accenture, Schlumberger, Virgin Media, Standard Chartered Bank, Lloyds HBOS and HSBC.
In 2005 Jacob founded Cocofina “The Coconut Experts’ while working part time as a consultant for his former employer. Consumer demand for Cocofina products was overwhelming leading to winning the first Food and Drink Award in 2006.
Jacob is passionate about healthy food and cooking. The Cocofina range of products was formulated in Jacob’s kitchen.
Cocofina is now sold in over 3000 health speciality and wellness stores such as Harrods, Fenwick, Lakeland, Daylesford Organic, Wholefoods, Holland and Barrett and more in the UK and in 28 countries worldwide. In 2015 Cocofina won seven Great Taste Awards from the Guild of Fine Food strengthening the brand and cementing themselves as ‘The Coconut Experts’.
He now works at Cocofina full time from Cocofina's Eastcote offices and lives in Buckinghamshire. Interests outside of work include cooking, music, antiques, watches, and inventing!
